Both my wife and I are very satisfied with the results of the cataract surgeries carried out by Dr. Robert Chang about three months ago in the Bayers Eye Institute at Stanford. His skillful techniques and pleasant attitude made us very relaxed during the operation. He also has a strong and efficient supporting team which worked out many administration issues. We are lucky to be his patients and have him do our surgeries.

With holding my Cataract problem over 8 yrs, finally, Got it done April 24, there were no pain, no discomfort during & after surgery, & I can see clearly right away . Today post office visit ; my vision 20/20 . too good to be true, I am lucky to have Dr Chang did the surgery. Dr Chang is truly an outstanding eye surgeon. Stanford Team of nurse & Health care professional, each & everyone of them in their profession at the best -first class. June 02, 2024 updated : over one month after surgery , both of my eyes are still normal , no dry eyes etc. Over One year after Cataract surgery same good as day one last year . too good to be true, I am truly greatful to Dr Chang . I was counting on Dr Wu , but she said She only do Retinal Surgery, Not Cataracts & told me go back to the doctor did my left eye , (which cost me over 7 yrs terrible dry eyes, the doctor even told me dry eyes can be cure by operator in his office ) in short My answer was " I am not going back to that doctor. " . Dr Wu & her office were nice referral me to Byers eye institute Dr Fisher. Thanks to Byers Eye Institute have so many outstanding eye doctors able to help senior old patients like me. Last year right after Surgery I told Dr Chang that he is the best #1 , but he said he is not. I sincerely appreciate there is such good eye surgeon . for me, He is the very best, #1. Since Dr. Jeffrey Goldberg introduced me to Dr. Robert Chang, I have been incredibly impressed with his patient relationship skills, his listening skills, how he treats his staff, and of course the outstanding outcome that I have had with my two surgeries to reduce my high eye pressure in both eyes. I would recommend Dr. Chang to all of my friends and family. My eye pressure is now 10/10 and it was 27/35 and my vision is 20/20!

I went in to the Stanford Byers Eye Institute to have Dr. Robert T. Chang perform my cataract surgery (that was a big step for me because I'm a Cal Berkeley graduate- LOL). I must add that I previously had a very bad experience with Stanford Emergency-- so I can't say that all Stanford MDs are wonderful-- or even competent. What I can say is that there are not enough stars to give Dr. Chang in this review. He patently answered all of my questions and provided a wonderful experience (I was a little anxious and not the easiest patent). Because of his calm presence, I went into the surgery confident that everything was being well managed by this wonderful doctor, whom I have already recommended to all of my friends.
